Proud To Be British!
Being a British girl born and bred, these past four days have made me feel more patriotic than ever! They have been nothing but non-stop for Queen Elizabeth as she and the rest of the nation have been celebrating the Diamond Jubilee to honour the Queen's magnificent 60 years on the throne.
It's been an amazing few days including the Pageant along the River Thames, the massive concert outside Buckingham Palace with some of the biggest names in music, the service at St. Paul's Cathedral and the finale back at Buckingham Palace with the Queen's appearance on the balcony.
Hundreds of thousands of people were at all the events, rain or shine, from all over the world, not only from the Commonwealth countries who are ruled by the Queen, but others too.
Being an English girl who lives close to London makes me even more proud but even though I live close, I couldn't make it to the city. But it makes me feel better that I couldn't be there knowing that the area I live in was on the BBC news for having the most street parties in the country! So that was mega awesome.
I'll always remember the street parties we had for the Royal Wedding last year and the Golden Jubilee in 2002, but this year the whole thing has been even more insane and I will always remember it.
So, in the light of all this I decided to create a gallery of some of my favourite pictures from the main events of the past Jubilee weekend. So take a look if you're interested, some of them are ridiculously awesome.
